The game’s story is about a police officer assigned to an international mission. Car thefts are on the rise. He will need to complete 26 tasks to help him.
After completing the missions at the first two locations, the user will visit three areas that will host the action in the game: Istanbul, Nice, and Miami. The first dozen tasks are performed in Miami and Nice. This means the majority of the gameplay must be spent there.
Driv3r features a change in weather and time. Although this is static, it gives the game a more realistic feel. Many missions are available to the user, ranging from car theft to hiring designated characters. The gameplay is never dull.
Some missions are crucial to the plot. The user will need to get into the South Beach gang and complete grouping tasks. However, everything will change once Tanner, the protagonist, is declassified and attempting to kill him. The main character will have to find and kill the person who violated his plans. The player can play Driv3r to find out how it ends.
This game was not a hit with competitors in 2004. The score was low due to the unrealistic physics of humans and the complexity of the missions. This game is still a great source of nostalgia. It’s the precursor to Driver: San Francisco.
