Sleeping Dogs, an action-adventure game published by Square Enix by United Front Games, was developed by United Front Games. The player plays Wei Shen, an American-Chinese police officer who goes undercover to infiltrate the Sun On Yee Triad organization.
The first missions are a tutorial on how to control the character. The player can explore the game’s world and participate in side missions. Shen can navigate the world by running and jumping, jumping over obstacles, swimming and driving cars, boats, and motorcycles. A mini-map is part of the heads-up display interface (HUD).
It shows Shen’s current location, key locations (safe houses and contact points), and targets. Two meters make up the mini-map: one shows Shen’s health, and the other shows his face. Upgrades are available when the face meter is full. These include health regeneration, combat capabilities, and lower equipment costs. The HUD displays information about the weapon and how many rounds it has.
