Nier: Automata Player Finds Secret Door No One Else Can Access

A whole room is not often left unnoticed for many years. Players may not even know it exists.
This seems to be precisely what has happened to JRPG players. One person discovered a hidden cavern, which others are still trying to find, even though they know it exists.

This puzzling discovery was the subject of a subreddit thread r/nier. User sadfutago posted a video of them finding the room within the game’s Copied city area.
This revelation has caused a frenzy in the Nier community. Players ask if the discovery is accurate, if it’s a PC mod that was never discovered or an actual secret that nobody else has ever found.
ThatwillROAR summarized the situation: “I know mod feels like Occam’s razor, but until similar mods/modding instruments are found, it’s more probable this is true.”
They also pinpointed most of the doubt over whether it results from user sadfutago “being extremely offline/not-tech-savvy”. Initially, They struggled to provide a level of proof that the community were happy with it.
Players were sceptical about this new revelation because they believed all the game’s secrets had been revealed. YouTuber Lance McDonald discovered a secret ending to the game in January.
Some users and one on ResetEra remain sceptical of the discovery. Kym said, “my guess is this is some clever method to promote some new mod tools that aren’t publicly available yet”. At the same time, one Reddit user suggested it could be a promotion for the upcoming Nintendo Switch edition.
