Destiny 2 is Getting Gunsmith Vendor Reorganizations
Destiny2 reworked Banshee 44 to make it compatible with the new Vanguard, Crucible and Gambit vendors. Guardians can earn a reputation by completing bounties given by the gunsmith and dismantling Legendary and Exotic gear. Although Banshee isn’t tied to any specific activity, his progress is often slower than with other vendors.
According to yesterday’s TWAB post, this will change next season. Joshua Kulinski, Economy Feature Lead, explained the changes to the Tower’s forgetful gunsmith. While they aren’t significant, they should make it easier for Guardians who want to level up with Banshee.
First, the daily destiny 2Gunsmith bounties will now grant 50 reputations to Banshee instead of the 25 they currently offer. This means Banshee will have twice the impact on levelling up with him, thanks to his bounties. Second, a reputation gained from Legendary or Exotic weapons has increased from 3 to 5. Although it is not quite as significant, it will still have a substantial impact.
Perhaps it’s because I haven’t been bothered with Gunsmith bounties since hitting the Pinnacle cap, but I have yet to reset rank with Banshee this year — and I’ve reset my Vanguard or Crucible ranks multiple times. These changes should make it easier to reset. Bungie might offer double Gunsmith reputation week in Destiny2, similar to those that boost playlist activities.
