Starfield will be attending Gamescom but not with any new gameplay

Everyone is still begging for more Starfield information, even after the 15-minute reveal. Fans noticed a mention of Starfield gameplay at a Gamescom fan event in Germany next Wednesday, but their hopes were not too high. Redfall and Starfield fans may see Redfall gameplay at the Bethesda fan meetup on August 26, according to a Starfield subreddit. TechRadar’s colleagues discovered that the post had been updated to say, “Come See a Replay of the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase gameplay presentations Redfall and Starfield.”

Bethesda seems to have removed any mention of Starfield attending the fan meetup in the news post. That theory is now proven to be true. Bethesda will have Starfield at Gamesom. The announcement mentions that there will also be a life-size version of VASCO, the companion robot VASCO, for people to take a photo with. Bethesda may show the replay of its June gameplay show at this location. However, we aren’t expecting any news.

You can also check out our Gamescom 2022 schedule to see that Xbox has a Livestream scheduled for next Thursday, August 25, 2018. Its six-hour booth coverage will showcase different games and developers, such as Pentiment, Microsoft Flight Sim, Minecraft Legends, and Microsoft Flight Sim. Sorry, no Starfield. Geoff Keighley will host the Opening Night Live showcase on Tuesday, August 23. If Bethesda were to appear on the ONL stage, I would have expected Keighley to tease it as he does with a large chunk of the lineup. Although I don’t rule out the possibility that Bethesda will surprise us, I think Bethesda won’t have much new to offer until later in the year.
