Skyrim modder transforms Rift into a real kingdom.
Modern standards can make the towns and cities in vanilla Skyrim feel disappointing. Large metropolises such as The Witcher3’s Novigrad make Tamriel’s hamlets seem more diminutive than their larger counterparts, despite how many mischief and happy moments they host.
Modders have made the game feel fresh again with many changes, such as a Shadow of Mordor-esque nemesis, lore-friendly Deathclaws and a completely revamped combat system.
One has now stepped in to offer a version that is genuinely fit for a King and those who are playing in 2022.
Have you ever thought the beautiful land around Riften was too sparsely populated?
The mod is called “Kingdom Of The Rift” and was created by Axis1211, who has previously added a lot of new locations to the game, an immersive ferry and a fire-breathing smurf follower.
They’ve now decided to combine a number of their location mods that impact locations throughout the Rift in one huge competition mod that will transform the hold into something worthy of Ulfric Stormcloak or General Tullius fighting for.
This is done by adding several thanedoms to this area. Some of these upgrade existing towns like Ivarstead or Shor’s Stone. Others introduce new settlements, such as the mountain fortress at Tormmarch and Dungate. Dungate has a high population of Dark Elves because of its proximity to Morrowind.
