Edge Teases WWE RAW Retirement Wrestling
In an off-screen promotion, Edge made a surprise reference to his retirement following Monday Night Raw. Edge addressed his situation in WWE in front of his hometown crowd in Toronto after he defeated Damian Priest from The Judgment Day.
“The Rated R Superstar” spoke about his WWE journey. He said that while he didn’t think he would be able to wrestle in front of a live audience in Toronto again, he was happy to be back in the ring for the fans who motivated him to return to wrestling after a career-ending injury. Edge talked about his retirement plans and said he hopes to retire before the Toronto crowd in the next year. This suggests that it could also take place next August.
Edge took the time to give Damien Priest a standing ovation before leading the crowd in a chant of the Maple Leafs and sending them home happy.
