Heroes of Might and Magic V, the fifth installment of the Heroes of Might and Magic fantasy-based strategy videogame series, is now available.
Once a hero has reached a certain level or visited special buildings on an adventure map, they can either learn a new skill or upgrade an existing one. Heroes have two types of skills: regular and racial.
A hero may have five skills and must always possess the correct racial skill. There are four skill levels: Advanced, Expert, Expert, and Ultimate. Each skill can be associated with three to five talents depending on the race. Each skill level gives the hero a chance to learn one ability.
A hero can learn one skill at a time, while an Advanced level one skill will allow them to acquire two more. Expert level three is the limit. A hero can only learn an ability when they have the appropriate skill level.
