Black Superman reboot in active development
It has been a difficult few months for DC. Warner Bros. Even though production was wrapping, Discovery pulled out of Batgirl. Fans were extremely disappointed by the decision. The film would also have marked the return to Batman’s Michael Keaton. Warner Bros. claimed that the cancellation would allow them focus on “great DC movies” such as The Flash. Yikes.
This is another can of worms. Warner Bros. had announced in February that Ta-Nehisi coates would write the screenplay for a Black Superman film, while J.J Abrams will produce it.
