You can play sims in two ways, live or build. If you are looking to build, this pack will not give you the tools you need. This pack was meant to help me build small studios, but I realized that it doesn’t allow you to actually build an apartment. You can’t even go into the build mode for an apartment without adding a sim to your lot.
Pent houses, one house included in the city and a few lounge-like areas can be edited, but not apartments. So you can’t decorate the apartment lots they have already created for you. What if you wanted to make a lot of the second story where your sim lives? No. Downstairs? No. No. It’s a complete pain in the neck. It’s unbelievable that this item costs $40.

Some man built a snowman right in front of my house so I wasn’t locked in there. What happened? My best friend died from frozen injuries. I discovered a group of people in my home, which used to break me. They had 3 stereos, a bathroom, a sink, and a TV. They couldn’t leave the front door to find the 7uck1ng snowman so I couldn’t chase them.
This family’s child kept spitting on the ground. They ate the food and then left the dishes on top of each other until they fell to the ground. My small house was literally turned into a toilet because even the maid couldn’t go up to clean it. I was too busy developing my skills and jobs with people complaining about me and whipping them around.
It’s a complete travesty. This pack is a money grab and adds absolutely no content to the game. You don’t have any options if you want to build apartments. The $40 pack is very insignificant. It adds only $10 to the game. I would NOT RECOMMEND it. It was a waste of time. It was pretty pointless.
I haven’t played any of the 3 other games so please take this with a grain..maybe some salt. I was just playing heavily mod sims, with only two worlds. This expansion was my second (Sulani, Glimmerbrook). This was INCREDIBLE, considering the only expansions available at that time were Seasons and Island Living.
Sims 4 only has two expansions, Seasons and City Living. Seasons were half-price ($20), which I believe is worth the investment. You get new jobs, nice places to live and explore, and some great urban areas. This is the best expansion for this game if you only had to purchase one.
