Star Wars Jedi: Survivor features an Arachnophobia setting for those afraid of spiders.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has finally come out today and you should feel no shortage of excitement over it!
Fallen Order was an enjoyable game overall, yet its problems cannot be ignored. Fast travel wasn’t available when all you wanted to do was return to your ship to continue your story; further compounding matters was its poor holomap functionality – both issues addressed in Survivor. But those issues have since been eliminated in spades!
Will McCue of GAMINGbible awarded Star Wars Jedi: Survivor an impressive nine out of 10, writing: “Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is an exceptional sequel that addresses any issues fans had with Fallen Order while adding plenty of exciting features that’ll keep players playing for months on end – it may well become the best action/adventure game released this year!”
As IGN reports, something truly novel to Survivor is Arachnophobia Mode – an accessibility feature designed specifically to address spider phobia. Players using Arachnophobia Mode will be able to toggle it off quickly to remove spider-like enemies from gameplay at will – perfect if fighting Wyyyschokks in Fallen Order wasn’t your cup of tea!
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor isn’t the only recent game to provide accessibility options for people living with common phobias, however. Horizon Forbidden West received an update before PS5-exclusive Burning Shores DLC was made available that introduced an accessible “thalassophobia mode,” to assist those afraid of deep water enjoy their gameplay more comfortably.
