F1 2017 was an arcade racing video game released for PS4, Windows, and Xbox One on 25th August 2017 that is inspired by the 2017 Formula One Season. Featuring 20 tracks across 20 circuits as well as drivers competing against 10 teams throughout their respective seasons; with macOS version being developed by Feral Interactive as one of their debut development efforts of this franchise.
Feral Interactive released their Linux game, also designed by Feral Interactive, on 2 November 2017; featuring first drivers to join Formula One Season 2017 such as Antonio Giovinazzi, Jenson Button, Brendon Hartley Pierre Gasly and Paul di Resta as they race through.
Anthony Davidson and David Croft provide in-game commentary, while an extended mode for team management gives players unparalleled control of developing and researching components of their car’s components – especially engine parts that wear down faster or gearboxes which eventually fail due to excessive wear & tear, incurring grid penalties if their limit of components exceeds limits allowed in team settings.
