In the year 2004, Michael Townley, Trevor Philips as well and Brad Snider were bank robbers who resided in Ludendorff which is located in North Yankton (based in North Dakota ).
Michael wants to flee from his life and creates the fake heist along with the corrupt Federal agent Dave Norton (Dave had to shoot Trevor and then arrest Brad as Michael attempted to cover up his own death). Nine years more (2013), Franklin Clinton is employed as a repossessor of vehicles at a dealer together with his colleague Lamar Davis, is asked to retrieve a car belonging to his son Jimmy who is in arrears on the payments for its purchase.
Believing that Jimmy is in danger of becoming a victim of credit fraud, Michael hides in the vehicle and then confronts Franklin. As he makes his journey to the dealership the dealer forces him to crash the vehicle against the window of the store. Clinton gets fired, however, De Santa as well as De Santa become friends.
