Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 7 Teases Dark Urge’s Gruesome New Evil Endings
Next month, Baldur’s Gate 3 is receiving its highly anticipated Patch 7, introducing dynamic split-screen co-op, a modding toolkit, and—perhaps most notably—expanded and enhanced endings for those willing to embrace their darkest desires. Today, Larian Studios dropped a teaser for one of the new evil endings for the Dark Urge, and let’s just say it lives up to the name.

In the teaser, the Dark Urge, appearing as their default albino dragonborn form, stands triumphantly atop a ruined Baldur’s Gate after seemingly seizing control of the Netherbrain and the cult of the Absolute. The Dark Urge uses their illithid domination to command their companions—Shadowheart, Lae’zel, and Wyll—to step toward the edge of a platform, and then, with a subtle gesture, sends them plummeting to their deaths. The scene closes with the Dark Urge joining them in a chilling descent, completing a grim ritual that seems destined to transform them into an avatar of Bhaal, the god of murder.
This unsettling new ending is just one of several evil conclusions being added to the game in the upcoming patch. Judging by the dark and eerie tone of the teaser, the expanded content will offer players even more opportunities to revel in their character’s twisted choices. For those curious to explore the darkest corners of Baldur’s Gate 3, Patch 7 is sure to deliver a gripping and grim experience when it drops in September.
