Rumor: Star Fox Adventures Remake May Be in Development
A new rumor suggests that a remake of Star Fox Adventures, the 2002 GameCube title, could be on the way. Fans of the Star Fox franchise, which has been quiet since Star Fox 2 in 2017, are eager for updates on Fox McCloud and his team.
The speculation began when gaming leaker SamusHunter2 claimed to have information about a Nintendo project linked to Star Fox Adventures. Initially believed to be a simple remaster, it’s now suggested that the project will be a full remake, enhancing the original’s structure.
Star Fox Adventures, originally intended as a standalone game called Dinosaur Planet, features a third-person adventure style that set it apart from traditional Star Fox gameplay. It also introduced the character Krystal, who quickly became a fan favorite.
While SamusHunter2 has had inaccurate predictions in the past, they have also correctly forecasted events like the release of Xenoblade Chronicles X on the Switch. Other rumors have hinted at a new Star Fox project, although some claimed it would be a completely new game.
The rumored remake could potentially release in 2025, coinciding with the anticipated launch of the Nintendo Switch 2. Speculation about the remake includes the possibility of reintroducing the cut character Sabre or elevating Krystal to a main role.
