Arrowhead Game Studios Teases Future Projects and Canceled Games

Despite the massive success of Helldivers 2, Arrowhead Game Studios is already looking ahead to its next project. Johan Pilestedt, the studio’s CCO, recently shared that the development of their next game is in the early stages, and fan feedback is welcomed.

Pilestedt also gave fans a glimpse into some abandoned concepts, revealing a canceled on-rails aircraft game called Eagles of Democracy, which was similar to Star Fox. Additionally, a modernized version of the classic twin-stick shooter Smash TV was also in the works but never fully realized.

Although the studio is still busy supporting Helldivers 2, with its latest update Omens of Tyranny featuring new content like Killzone-inspired weapons, the future looks bright for Arrowhead. Fans can expect more updates to Helldivers 2 in 2025, with new customization options, enemies, and environments on the horizon.
