Team Ninja Teases Exciting Plans for 30th Anniversary in 2025

Koei Tecmo’s Team Ninja studio is gearing up for its 30th anniversary in 2025, and fans can expect some big announcements. Known for its iconic franchises like Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive, Team Ninja has teased that it will release new titles “fitting for the occasion.”

Fumihiko Yasuda, the head of Team Ninja, confirmed the studio’s plans to celebrate this milestone in an interview with 4Gamer.net. While details remain scarce, fans are hopeful that the anniversary will bring new entries or updates to the beloved Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden series.

Recently, Ninja Gaiden made headlines with the announcement of Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound, a new side-scrolling game set to launch in 2025. The game promises a mix of classic 8-bit gameplay and modern touches, bringing a fresh take on the series. The last mainline Ninja Gaiden game, Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z, was released in 2014 and received mixed reviews.

Dead or Alive fans have been waiting for a new mainline entry since Dead or Alive 6 in 2019, with only spin-offs like Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 Scarlet filling the gap in recent years. Fans are hoping the studio will revisit the series for the anniversary.

In addition to its fighting games, Team Ninja has also made waves with action RPGs like Nioh and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. Given the success of Rise of the Ronin in 2024, fans are eager to see if the studio will return to its Nioh roots or explore new RPG projects.

As Team Ninja approaches its landmark anniversary, fans are eager to see what surprises the studio has in store.
