It retains the best aspects of its predecessor but has new features. The original game had a lot of adrenaline and crazy dynamics, but the developers were able to expand on it. It’s all about motion. You cannot stop the game or move to a better position. Any delay could result in your death.
The new dash ability has significantly improved mobility. This ability and a double jump allowed verticality to the gameplay and greatly expanded platforming capabilities. The same goes for first aid kits.
