The item in question resembled Super Mario‘s iconic question block and was labeled “MC box” in the file, sparking speculation that this could stand for “Mario coin box.” Traditionally, Mario’s question blocks grant items or coins to players and have become one of the franchise’s most recognizable symbols.
The news has excited fans on social media, with many expressing hope for a crossover that could even include a Mario Kart-inspired mode.
