A sequel to Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles is officially in development, with Sega and CyberConnect2 aiming for a 2025 release. The game will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC, continuing the popular anime’s legacy in gaming.
The new installment, titled Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2, will retain its action-adventure fighting format while introducing new characters and story arcs. The recently revealed trailer highlights scenes from the Mugen Train film and the Entertainment District arc, teasing an expanded roster and narrative depth. The Hashira, the elite demon hunters, appear to play a central role in this sequel.
While gameplay details are scarce, fans can expect mechanics similar to CyberConnect2’s Naruto: Ultimate Ninja series. The original game saw success with post-launch DLC and competitive online play, and the sequel is likely to follow suit.
In other news, Demon Slayer-themed skins are rumored to be coming to Fortnite as part of Chapter 6 Season 1, although no official release date has been confirmed.
Stay tuned for more updates as the game’s release approaches.
