PS5 Pro Performance Leaked 2-3x performance boost From Ps5

The long-rumored PlayStation 5 Pro is reportedly set to deliver performance on par with AMD’s Radeon RX 7700 XT GPU, with an emphasis on improved ray tracing capabilities, according to a new leak from a reputable insider. If accurate, the PS5 Pro will offer a significant performance boost over the base PS5 model in both traditional rasterized graphics and ray-traced games.

Insider and leaker Kepler_L2 shared that the PS5 Pro’s rasterization performance will be comparable to the RX 7700 XT, while its ray tracing abilities will outshine the AMD GPU. Rumors suggest that the Pro model could deliver a two to three-times performance increase in ray tracing compared to the original PS5. This boost could be powered by a custom AMD chip that blends the RDNA3 and RDNA4 architectures.

The PS5 Pro is expected to be revealed in mid-September 2024, with a release window targeting the holiday season of that year. Similar to the PS4 Pro’s launch in 2016, the timing of the PS5 Pro appears to align with Sony’s mid-generation upgrade strategy. While no official details have been confirmed by Sony, leaked documentation supports the idea that the new hardware will come with major advancements in graphical performance.

In terms of design, the PS5 Pro will reportedly feature a sleeker, more angular look compared to the rumored PS5 Slim. It will retain modular elements, including a slot for an attachable disc drive and two USB-C ports for added connectivity. However, the controller included with the PS5 Pro is expected to be the same as the standard DualSense model used with the base PS5.

If these rumors hold, the PS5 Pro could usher in a new level of performance for console gaming, particularly in ray-traced games, providing a compelling upgrade for players seeking cutting-edge visuals.
