Borderlands 2 is an action-based first-person shooter videogame that features open-world role-playing. It was developed by Gearbox Software and published by 2K Games. The gameplay is based on completing missions and collecting random “loot”, which can include weapons, skins and other items with different rarities, statistics and elemental effects. There are four playable characters in the base game. Each has its abilities and skill trees. Axton, also known as “the Commando”, can summon a Turret to offer offensive support. Maya, also known as “The Siren”, can temporarily “phaselock” enemies and trap them in a sphere full of energy for a few moments. Zer0, also known as “the Assassin”, can temporarily disappear and spawn a decoy hologram to distract enemies. An attack in this state will deal bonus damage. Salvador, also known as “the Gunzerker”, can temporarily dual-wield weapons.
