Gamers Talk About the One Game That They Keep Coming Back To
If you are asked which song you love the most, the chances are that it is one that you know the lyrics to and all the chord shifts. It’s one you’ve heard many times and one that you’ve played countless times. You can do the same with books. Your most beloved novel may be the one that is least used and most shabby. This is true for films as well as games.
We revisit games for many reasons: great gameplay, a heartwarming tale, or returning to a familiar space (with friends or alone). This discussion was held today, August 5th, on NeoGAF. It prompted us to reminisce about our comfort games.

Artois, a user, started the discussion by creating a thread entitled “the one game that you keep going back to”. These titles provided some predictable answers, surprises, and hidden gems.
User Kuranghi loved Batman: Arkham Knight. “I spent about 250 hours on it, and 100% of it was completed three (3) times or more.” It is a beautifully made game, with very few details everywhere. As with Arrested Development, they added more and more ideas as they made it. We like to compare Arkham Knight with Arrested Development.
Skyrim, Call of Duty and Halo were also popular games. Some wildcards are Bangai O on Dreamcast and 2018’s Deep Rock Galactic.
