Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy was released in 2003 as a first- and second-person shooter action videogame. It is set in Star Wars expanded universe and allows the player to use various firearms, lightsabers, Force powers, and more.
Except for the lightsaber, which must be viewed in the third person, every weapon can be viewed from a different perspective. Standard shooter features include a range of projectiles, energy weapons and explosives.
The game has two health meters and a shield, which can be replenished separately. In multiplayer, players are Force-users, who have access to various Force powers and their lightsaber.
