The wait is almost over. Warzone 2.0, the sequel to Call of Duty: Warzone, is finally out tomorrow, to the horror of all those with jobs (and their bosses). Really? My salute to all who planned ahead and got the day off.

However, players can preload the title before the game launches. This is a great relief, considering how large a download it is. This process, however, has been reported by GamesRadar+.

This issue is largely down to the game’s connection to Modern Warfare. Warzone 2.0 can be played for free. Those who have purchased MWII will get an experience point boost until the end of 2023. You will need to have the launcher to access the game. This has made it more difficult than you might think.

It’s easy to search for Warzone2.0 on a PC. This will take you to the page where you can download the game. On PS5, however, typing the title name would make you believe it doesn’t exist. There are no results, so you will need to search MWII and click “options” for it to be found. The process is similar on Xbox. You can find the game on the “editions page” and download it as an add-on.

Twitter: developers warned that this might prompt you to purchase MII before launch. This is not necessary to experience Warzone 2.
