Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 – an action-packed game in real time that plays out in a universe that is parallel to the 70s and 80s. This universe is inspired by the theories of Albert Einstein. The plot of Red Alert 2 is directly based on the tale of the Allies from the game before it. Red Alert 2 is a direct continuation of the story in which both the Soviet Union and the Alliance are at the heart of the war. The buildings and units haven’t altered much from the time of the initial part but some vehicles had their names changed, for instance, Mammoth Tank. The mammoth tank was named Apocalypse.
The buildings were divided into production-scientific and defensive ones, and the units were divided into infantry and armored vehicles. There have been numerous wars in the city. The possibility of capturing houses to carry out strategically-oriented maneuvers is in place. The central focus of the game is that of the Cold War, which is becoming increasingly a Third World War.
The story starts with the realization that Stalin passes away and the Soviets place Alexander Romanov at the head of their nation, someone they plan to turn into an instrument of control. But, he’s determined to retaliate against his fellow citizens in the States.
The game has two campaign options: Soviet and Allied. Each story is represented in twelve missions. They all revolve around the destruction of an enemy base. However, some of them like those in Red Revolution, Dark Night, and the Fox and the Hound are unique games with different scenarios. The Soviet scenario has a plot that grew into an expansion, Yuri’s Revenge.
