WWE 2K15 – Fighting, Sports Video Game. WWE 2K15 marks the beginning of the “new generation” which is focused on making the WWE franchise a real wrestling game, rather than “a Fighting Game with WWE Superstars”. The new chain-wrestling mini-game (exclusively for current generation consoles) has been introduced to improve the match’s realism. The grapple button will start a tie-up of collar and elbows at the beginning. Each opponent presses one of three buttons at the start of the tie-up to put their opponent in a side-headlock, wrist-lock, or waist-lock with the rock-paper scissors-style outcome. (Headlock beats Wrist lock, Wrist lock beats Waist lock, Waist lock beats Headlock.) The winner will lock their opponent into the appropriate hold while the other player rotates the right analog stick . The attacker will perform the move if they find it before the opponent, and the other way around if they are the first to do so. The attacking wrestler may also strike the opposing wrestler’s leg or rip it, which will make it more difficult for the other to locate the sweet spot. The mini-game is only played 2-3 times in a match, and it can be disabled via the Options menu. The speed of the strikes has returned to normal, and the collision animations have improved.
