Skyrim Modder Transforms All Books into Skill Books
The Land of Skyrim has a wealth of beautiful landscapes and stunning vistas. But, it also offers some surprises for those who like the indoors.
You can engage in many activities, regardless of whether your character suffers from a horrible disease or is avoided by rude NPCs.
One of them is reading the many in-game books that you can pick up or buy during your adventures. Thanks to a new mod, it’s now easier to flip through pages.
What kind of lessons can The Lusty Argonian Mad possibly teach?
This mod is called all books are skill books. It is the work VitamineD. Vitamine has previously worked on adding the ability to disassemble armours into crafting items and make old-school Skyrim’s Sovngarde more elegant.
They’ve now used their modding skills to bring the bookworms’ dreams to life by creating a mod that makes every 300 game’s books dispense one skill point to your character.
Vitamine revealed that all the increased skills are tailored to the book’s content. Sometimes it was hard because some of the books’ stories didn’t match Skyrim’s skills. Sometimes, I had to choose the least inappropriate skill for that book.
If you’re reading The Tale of a Warrior like Ysgramor, you’ll likely gain more two-handed weapons or heavy armour skills. Or, if the Lusty Argonian maid is reading, your one-handed skill may improve due to memes.
You can also pick up a book that was a professional guide in Oblivion or Morrowind. The skill it will improve is the same as in those games.
This mod can also be used with many Skyrim mods that deal with books, such as modder DanielCoffey’s’book covers Skyrim’, and duggelz’s’unread books glow SSE_.
You might also experience issues if your mod alters the text and weight of books.
