Skyrim player tries to figure out why all the vampires have huge shoe collections.
Skyrim life can be difficult for NPCs. Anger players often cause trouble and hunt down those who might rat out the guards.
It’s easy to become a bit stressed when you end up on an annoyed adventurer’s Ebony blade kill list because of a minor plan hole in your quest or because all their other nemeses are already dead in combat.
You could try a hobby to help you get through this. But, it seems that the vampires of the province can’t do this without being shamed for their love for sick kicks.
Why are the Foot Locker branches in Skyrim full of angry goths
The Skyrim subreddit thread began with a post by user vjcullen. He posted an image of an extensive collection of shoes and boots found in Shriekwind Bastion’s vampire hangout.
Many of their teammates quickly pointed out that the reason behind the collection wasn’t likely to come down to a love for sneaker culture. MalevolentPizza suggested: “I thought these were supposed to be their victims’ footwear.” And calumnies got even darker when they brought up the piles left behind at former Nazi concentration camps.
Others offered more hopeful explanations. Wamblingshark said, “I always imagined them keeping them because shoes must have been a valuable commodity at a time when there is no mass production.” That49er joked: “I always thought their feet fetishes.”
RedditOfUnusualSize, a user, helped divert the thread from speculation about vampiric bedroom activities. He revealed: “It is an obscure bit of vampire legend that Skyrim adopted. According to old Romanian folklore, vampires were known for having obsessive-compulsive behaviour. This included a strong fondness for hoarding, counting and collecting.
User AbbertDabbert suggested that they could be following the lead of other players and saying that the Dragonborn wasn’t the only one allowed to accumulate tons of clothing items they won’t wear.
However, The_CrimsonKnight was the one who had the most accurate idea about the origin of the collection. He stated that “they need soles.”
