Fans Wanted: New Assassin’s Creed Movie
Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Showcase presented much information about the RPG and stealth franchise. There’s plenty to look forward to, from the official unveiling of Assassin’s Creed Mirage to the announcement of the final story DLC Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The show’s real highlight was the codename Red.
The title is just a title for the project, but the main draw of the in-development is that it will finally bring Feudal Japan to the series, which fans have been waiting for forever.
One official asset has yet to be released, a concept photo showing a Shinobi-esque assassin standing on a roof with what appears to have been a katana/uchigatana. It’s already got fans, myself included, excited about what RED could bring.
CodenameRED will be the next flagship title and future open-world Assassin’s Creed game. This confirms that the stealthier-based Mirage will not be setting a new franchise blueprint, which is excellent news for Valhalla, Odyssey, and Origins fans.
Many felt that an Assassin’s Creed game set in Japan would remain a dream even after all these years. Although games like Ghost Of Tsushima were able to fill the gap, it was exciting to see Ubisoft finally deliver on their dream scenario.
CodenameRED is currently not available. This is not surprising, considering the game does not have an official name. We will continue to wait.
