Prototype 2 (stylized as [PROTOTYPE2Prototype 2 (stylized as [PROTOTYPE2]) is an open-world action-adventure game. James Heller can shape-shift and take on the identities of other players as well as memories, by eating the memories of other people.
The process of taking people’s identities and transforming them into them has been more strategic. In light of the actions of Blackwatch in The Yellow Zone, if the participant assumes the character of a soldier, the people respond to him in a manner that shows they don’t want anything to have to do with him. To ensure that the enemies don’t overwhelm players, Radical is developing a dodge technique and an entirely new, more realistic AI.
Heller can utilize weapons within the game, for example cutting the Gatling cannon out of an armored vehicle and then using it to attack enemies. Heller is also able to get into the eyes of unsuspecting opponents, inject them with the Blacklight virus and transform the enemy into “BioBomb” to blow up spectacularly. Heller is also superhuman in strength and speed, near invulnerability to injury, fast-moving leaps and gliding, inexhaustible stamina with increased speed and is equipped with a sonar.
The sonar comes with a unique pulse feature that can highlight the essential features of an area to make it easier to locate the person, rather than searching through a crowd in search of a character wearing an icon over their head. Radical is claiming that its powers will become more powerful, appearing in modifications and enhancements which allow players to choose what they would like to do in the role of Heller.
